Autograph letter signed, dated : Leipzig, 20 June 1884, to Herr Auerbach, 1884 June 20.

Sending to Auerbach, an autograph collector, the proofs of two movements from Verdi's Requiem ("Liber scriptus proferetur" and "Lux aeterna"), both corrected by Verdi, verifying their authenticity, saying that Giulio Ricordi gave them to him directly in June 1874, describing the premiè€re and early performances of the Requiem, adding that he played in the orchestra (viola) and was absolutely the only German who took part in all the performances--at times under Verdi, at times under Faccio--, expressing pleasure that the two numbers from the Requiem will join Auerbach's autograph collection, etc.
